SMILEco Measurement Corporation was founded (Kurihara PJ)

Prof. Kazue Kurihara and Associate Prof. Masafumi Mizukami established SMILEco Measurement Co. (President: Yasuo Itami) on January 14, 2022, suported by the Tohoku University Business Incubation Program (BIP) and the NEDO Entrepreneur Program (NEP).

  

They developed an “ultra-trace viscometer” that can measure the viscosity of liquids with the smallest sample volume (2 μL (about 1/10000 to 1/1000 of a conventional viscometer)) under the Regional Innovation Ecosystem Formation Program “SMILEco Miyagi” of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

 

SMILEco Measurement Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of ultra-trace viscometers, measurement services, equipment development, and consulting.

 

They will also provide solutions for the evaluation of viscosity of rare and expensive liquid samples (e.g., electrolytes in batteries, blood, saliva, etc.) and develop our business with the aim of contributing to the development of materials in advanced technology, the advancement of medicine, and the development of pharmaceuticals.
