Tetsuo Shoji (NICHe Senior Research Fellow) received the Chinese Government’s Friendship Award.
The Chinese Government Friendship Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Chinese government on foreign experts to acknowledge and reward outstanding contributions to China’s social development and economic, technological, educational, cultural, and other developments.
Shoji Senior Research Fellow has visited China more than 100 times in the past 25 years to actively promote cooperation between Japan and other countries and China in the field of in-service reliability and safety evaluation of nuclear materials field and has trained more than 20 personnel in nuclear materials at Chinese universities, major research institutes and companies. More than one-third of the more than 600 papers published in academic journals are the result of joint research with Chinese scholars and researchers.
