The research conducted by Specially Appointed Prof. Kazunori Ohno and Specially Appointed Assistant Prof. Shotato Kojima has received the 2022 Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Award (Technology).
They received the award for “Firefighting Robot System for Large-Scale Fires in Petroleum Complexes technology”.
A firefighting robot system based on this technology is in service in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, as “Scram Force”. The toys are also available from Takara Tomy Co.
